Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community

Virtual Tour

We are delighted to welcome you to Oasis Academy Silvertown and to our Virtual Tour.

At Oasis Academy Silvertown, our vision is that our Academy will transform students’ lives by preparing them for the university or career of their choice, and enable them to contribute to their community as leaders. Our mission is simple “Ready for university. Ready to lead.” We aim to achieve our mission through 5 key principles, held by staff and students: Be Proud. Be Professional. Be Nice. Be Independent. Be Resilient.

We were founded 6 years ago as a deliberately small, co-educational Academy, which offers a family feel and a safe learning environment with high expectations for our students. In May 2017 we were rated Good by Ofsted with Outstanding features in Leadership and Management, Personal Development and Outcomes for pupils. In 2019, we celebrated our first set of GCSE results, with 75% of our students achieving a 4+ in Maths and English combined, and 61% of students achieving a 5+ in Maths and English combined. 100% of our 2020 cohort are currently attending either their first or second choice post 16 providers and many of the students went on to take up places in the top sixth forms of London.

This year, we are very excited to announce we are part of the Oasis Horizons scheme being introduced into every Oasis academy, where each current and future pupil, and their teachers and support staff, will be provided with an iPad to give them access to enhanced online learning. Students and teachers will be able to use the device together in lessons to bring subjects to life and participate in shared learning. Students will even be able to continue this at home!

Below you will find short videos that tell you more about life in the Academy, the subjects we teach and how to apply.

If you are a parent/carer of a child with SEND and would like to know more about our SEND provision, please contact the Academy office on 0207 059 2500 and organise a tour with our SENCo Ms Dolly Smith.
